Trafotek

Trafotek specializes in the design and manufacture of power electronics components. The company provides individually tailored solutions for customers in sectors such as power electronics, industrial automation, renewable energy production, and shipbuilding.

Intera partnered with the owners and management of Trafotek in 2011 to support the company’s growth and internationalization.  During the ownership period, particular emphasis was placed on significantly internationalizing Trafotek’s business, both in production and sales. Trafotek’s production expanded to Estonia and Brazil over the years, while its customer base grew and became substantially more international, with the South American market becoming a significant part of the company’s business. Investments in product development were also prioritized.

Intera exited Trafotek in 2019 by selling its ownership stake to AQ Group, a global component and systems manufacturer listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm Stock Exchange. At the time of the exit, Trafotek’s revenue was approximately EUR 50 million, and the company employed 450 workers.
