Intera Partners

Intera is a private equity firm focused on the growth and internationalization of Finnish and Swedish companies. We seek to invest in companies with sales of €10 to 200 million at the time of the investment. We build a close partnership with the owners and management to support growth and bring the expertise of our network to the company’s use. Typically, we aim to achieve a majority ownership in our portfolio companies. Usual investment situations for Intera include acceleration of organic growth and internationalization of portfolio companies as well as industry consolidations.

Our goal is to increase the value of our portfolio companies by supporting their growth and internationalization. Together with the company’s key personnel, we create a plan for value creation and support our companies in implementing the changes.

Sustainability is a central part of our operations. Intera is e.g., a member of the FIBS association and a signatory to the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative (UNPRI). We ensure that sustainability becomes an integral part of our portfolio companies’ daily operations and strategic planning during Intera’s ownership period. Intera was founded in 2007 and is owned by its employees. Intera manages two active funds with total assets under management of €585 million. Fund investors include leading Nordic and European institutional investors.
