HopLop

HopLop is Finland’s largest indoor children’s sports and adventure park chain. The company’s societal mission is to bring joy and delight to the everyday lives of families with children and make it easier without compromising on safety. In addition to a range of physical activities and restaurant services, HopLop’s services includes children’s birthday parties.

Intera invested in HopLop in 2015. During Intera’s ownership, HopLop’s existing locations were renovated extensively, and 20 new parks were opened. HopLop also successfully expanded to Germany by opening a park in Cologne in 2018. Throughout Intera’s ownership, the company’s growth and operations were significantly supported through the development of the organization, personnel management, strengthening of the consumer experience, marketing, and data-based commercialization.

HopLop grew substantially during Intera’s ownership, increasing its revenue from an initial EUR 9 million to a peak revenue of EUR 25 million. However, the business was significantly affected by COVID-19 restrictions since February 2020 and Intera exited HopLop in 2021.
