Consti Yhtiöt
Consti is Finland’s leading company specializing in renovation construction and building technology services. Consti provides comprehensive services that require diverse expertise and consistent quality. The company offers a wide range of renovation construction and building technology services, as well as selectively chosen new construction services for housing companies, businesses, investors, and the public sector in Finland’s growth centers.
In 2008, Intera established Consti together with the leading entrepreneurs of the industry, to capitalize on the identified market opportunity in the renovation construction market. In 2008, the first of Consti’s three platform pillars, Koja Tekniikka, specializing in building technology, was acquired. Koja formed the core of Consti’s technical building systems division and the platform creation was continued by acquisitions of Raitayhtiöt and JRH-Yhtiöt in the following year to add the building facade renovation and general renovation business units to Consti. A common strategy and business plan were developed for the companies to create a nationwide operator that is capable of meeting all renovation construction needs in the market.
In addition to these acquisitions, 11 more add-on acquisitions were completed by early 2011. The vast majority of the entrepreneurs who joined Consti continued in managerial roles in the newly established group. In addition to acquisitions, the company’s organic growth was very strong. Through Consti, a strong brand was established in the renovation construction market that appealed to both employees and experts.
Intera exited from its majority ownership of Consti at the end of 2015, when the company was successfully listed on the main list of the Nasdaq Helsinki Stock Exchange. Intera sold its remaining shares in the company during the summer of 2016. During Intera’s ownership, Consti’s revenue increased from EUR 30 million to EUR 260 million. A significant portion of the growth was organic. Additionally, the number of employees increased from 120 to around 900. Consti has continued its significant growth after Intera’s ownership.
